Samsung TVC - Enjoy more

A while ago I was assisting Julie-Anne (food stylist extraordinaire) on the production of a TVC
for a Samsung fridge and washing machine. We spent three days cooking and baking like
maniacs as the food gets thrown through the air and it meant a lot of freshening up and re-setting.
It's great to see the ad looks so cheerful and fun.

Maybe one day I will have a kitchen big enough to own a fridge like that :-).

Making of our Easter mag

We shot an Easter production in the Blue Mountains recently and here are a few behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot. It was such a great production since the hosts are such wonderful and creative people (you'll find out more in our mag in a few days). The weather was a bit of an uncontrollable factor and indeed it rained through till the morning of the shoot. I tried to ignore it as best as
possible by positive thinking however it was hard as the day before the shoot looked so grey
and miserable you wouldn't believe it.

But then, lucky for us and my positive thinking ;-) it stopped raining just before everyone arrived
and so we were able to shoot mostly in the beautiful garden and woods.

Kylie Kwong in Vital magazine

A feature I wrote a while ago about Australian super chef Kylie Kwong got published recently in the German Vital magazine. The food editor had the great idea to publish a series of women who are passionate about food and also business women. I think Kylie with her undeniable passion for sharing the pleasures of food and provenance whilst supporting sustainable thinking is a perfect match. Kylie Kwong is still selling her famous Chinese pancakes and dumplings at the Eveleigh Market on Saturday to a growing number of fans. If you don't feel like getting up early (although I think it's the perfect start into the weekend), Kylie also now has a new Yum Cha menu on the weekend.

Provence feature in Vital magazine

 I am very thrilled that the story I produced in Provence got published by Vital magazine in July.

As always we shot so many more photos and portrayed many more interesting foodies but there is never enough room to capture it all. I still so want to live there and I think the layout looks great. Thanks also to the fabulous photographer Carsten Eichner who was never afraid of my ideas.

I and photographer (Carsten Eichner) happily shooting and styling away. Due to all being shot digitally now one never leaves the studio without the laptop (gone are the Polaroid days) to check that everything is looking good.

My job for the "Marie Claire" 150th celebration issue

What a wonderful task and also very challenging. For the 150th Marie Claire celebration issue the editor wanted a true blue Australian retro look. I searched around a couple of days and was lucky. In one shop I even found bowls, cutlery and plates in bakelite. Mehr fifties geht nicht!

For my most recent shooting we changed the studio for a much better location: Bondi beach!
And it soon drew attention with the locals. One local stoped by and was looking for her camera.
